Collection: Art Her Way Hybrid Collective Exhibition

Rym Zawk, who is also known by the name Ré, is a Lebanon-based multipotentiality Artist. Born and Raised in Tripoli-North, Graduated with a Cinematic background field of Film and Visual Arts, recognized for her dominant visual expression from very early childhood, non-conforming to one medium; including live paint, photography, body expression, and the use of natural elements, has afterward become a self-taught digital illustrator mainly focused on character creation.

Her expressions often have a realistic feel with a twist, inducing a feeling of familiarity and yet slightly tipping towards otherworldliness and fiction. Fitting things within each other that don’t naturally fit, merging animal hybrids and concepts that have not necessarily been merged before. Her works mainly emphasize female impressions. As an addition to the visuals, her use of words gives character and a story of origin to each artwork, adding a layer of linguistic depth to her creations.

“Nothing is linear and there are always new forms possible to convey feelings and means of expression, I’m always aiming to influence unleashing our truest selves unfiltered, in however medium we feel at any given moment. I like to experiment with anything I can; as life is an experiment itself, and so is art”.
