About Mona Hawa
Mona B. Hawa is a Lebanese painter whose work defines itself by interweaving a variety of artistic styles and approaches, modern and traditional techniques, as well as classical and abstract aesthetics.
Silhouettes, houses, and abstraction are three of the most recurring themes in Mona's work. Part of her specialty is to break painting down to its most basic elements: exploring the spectrum of color, which allows the artist to convey the right tonality and emotion, and studying the balance of form to achieve the desired sense of motion or stillness.
