The strength of a woman lies in her willingness to introspect. Introspection enables her to know herself, understand her strengths and weaknesses, and progress on the path of personal growth. By turning inward, she can challenge restrictive social norms, promote equity, and advocate for the values that are important to her. How can she bring forth this state of grace within her?
Nudity, or the act of baring oneself, brings her closer to the animal state. By shading the trappings of artifice and becoming aware of her role in the fragility of all things, she can be in symbiosis with nature and thus focus and support those in need. This introspection nurtures her resilience, wisdom, and ability to overcome challenges with grace and determination.
The combination of empathy and introspection gives a woman a unique strength, that of creating profound and lasting change, spreading understanding and kindness, and inspiring others to follow her example. By embracing these qualities, she contributes to raising the level of collective consciousness and shaping a world where compassion, mutual understanding, and empowerment are essential pillars of society.

About Lama Mansour

Lama Mansour Fakhoury was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1971. In 1994, she obtained a master’s degree in industrial economics from the Sorbonne University in Paris, a field in which she worked for over 10 years. It was not until 2017 that she discovered her intense passion for the arts when she began attending painting courses at Bassam Kahwagi’s workshop while completing her master’s degree in Critique d’art et curatoriat at Saint Joseph University, Beirut.
“I have always been interested in the figurative form of painting, especially in portraits and human representation. Starting with a series of paintings depicting famous people, I quickly shifted to a freer representation of human faces. My interest lies in aesthetics in terms of sensitivity, not in terms of beauty. Through faces, I try to bring out all the anguish, the misery, and the depth of human turmoil. I fragment faces to reveal the various facets of humanity, going beyond the dictates of beauty in a quest for the truth.”
“My inspiration in the art scene ranges from Egon Schiele to Francis Bacon, as these artists have depicted the inner human condition in their paintings - through body distortion and broken lines in Schiele’s work, and Bacon’s spasmodic curves.”
