About Ziad Jreige

Ziad Dib Jreige (b.1986 in Kousba, Lebanon) is a multi-disciplinary artist and poet. He received his Nursing degree from the Lebanese University in 2008. He enrolled in many courses studying English literature and painting. His work studies the human experience, from pain and anxiety to pleasure and faith.
The scenes of mountainous nature brought back from his childhood and the exposure to human vulnerability in his daily job are always present in his artworks and words. Influenced by his father, an Arabic teacher and a lover of art and Literature, and then by Gibran Kahlil Gibran, William Blake, and The Romantics, Ziad always mixes the known with the philosophy of skepticism to reach a logical and spiritual satisfaction.
He is the author of two published poetry books and works on contemporary expressive themes.
