According to the Embodied Realities exhibition's curator Dr. Pamela Chrabieh, "In Tell no One, Tala Beydoun crafts a haunting dialogue between two figures, their blurred faces and ethereal forms dissolving into the layered textures of the canvas. The work captures the silent weight of unspoken words, the intimacy of presence, and the quiet tension of things left unsaid. The figures lean into each other, their outlines intertwined, yet a lingering distance remains—a reflection of human relationships, vulnerability, and the body as a site of connection and secrecy.
This piece resonates deeply with the Embodied Realities exhibition theme, where the human form is explored as a vessel of emotion and memory. The muted color palette and distressed surface suggest histories written upon the skin—whispers of the past, unseen burdens, and the fragility of communication. Tell no One invites the viewer to question: what stories do our bodies hold, and what truths remain unspoken?"

About Tala Beydoun

Tala Beydoun is a multidisciplinary artist, engaged in various mediums including painting, collage, and notably, embroidery. Having dedicated three decades to teaching, she embarked on a transformative journey, transitioning into an artist, particularly focusing on multidisciplinary work. This significant shift occurred after she enrolled in an embroidery class at Espacefann, supplementing her education with courses in weaving and branding.
Tala's creative process is fueled by human emotions. She intertwines hand embroidery with machine stitching, utilizing fabrics, yarns, threads, treated papers, hardware, acrylic paint, china ink, and other mediums. This amalgamation results in her unique, upcycled wearable art pieces, which encompass pendants, earrings, necklaces, and paintings.
