ReCollected Reprinted Spiral Bowl

Part of ReCollected, Kulturnest's private collection of pre-owned, never-worn, and vintage pieces, this unused bowl was crafted in Lebanon from leftover magazine pages and acquired in 2024. Folded strips of printed paper have been tightly coiled, shaped into a rounded square, and joined with adhesive, beneath a clear protective sealant. 

Fragments of articles, photographs and coloured printing remain visible throughout the bowl, making its discarded source material an essential part of the design. The construction moves from a tight circular centre into increasingly square bands, creating a distinctive optical spiral. The spiral may be read as a symbol of continuity and renewal.

Best used as a decorative bowl for keys, jewellery or other dry objects. Food or liquids should be avoided unless the coating is confirmed as food-safe and water-resistant.
