Metropolis of Dreaming Minds

Born in Zahlé, Lebanon, Rouwaida Mallo began her artistic journey self-taught, using colored pencils and pastels from an early age. She later earned a degree in Psychology from the Lebanese University before fully dedicating herself to painting.

Her style evolved through the study of modern masters such as Matisse, Van Gogh, and Miró, whose influence is visible in her bold use of color and geometric simplification. Mallo reduces forms to cubes, circles, and lines, building solid, harmonious compositions that radiate energy and balance.

Her palette is distinctive—vivid reds, oranges, and greens intertwine to create works that feel like visual poems. She paints with introspection and sincerity, aiming to capture happiness and optimism in every canvas.

Beyond her studio practice, Mallo has shared her passion by teaching plastic arts at the Saint Anthony of Padua - Rayak School and designing theatrical sets.

She has participated in numerous exhibitions across Lebanon, showcasing her distinctive geometric style to a growing audience. Her work continues to attract attention for its luminous and joyful visual language.
