According to the exhibition's curator Dr. Pamela Chrabieh:

"This captivating artwork, entitled "Life," intertwines the timeless beauty of Kufic calligraphy with a profound Arabic poem by the renowned poet Elia Abu Madi. The poem reflects on the essence of life, describing it as a poem where our lives are the verses and death the inevitable rhyme. It invites the viewer to find joy in the stars and the beauty of the universe, acknowledging that while life is fleeting, the cosmos remains eternal.

The intricate circular patterns and the structured Kufic script symbolize the cyclical nature of life, echoing the poem’s theme that life is what we make of it—crafted by our actions, thoughts, and silence. The artwork uses bold, cosmic colors of deep blues, reds, and blacks, creating a dynamic contrast that represents the duality of life and death, silence, and expression.

In connection with the Urban Canvas exhibition theme, this piece speaks to the resilience and spirit of urban life. Just as the city is a canvas where each individual leaves their mark, so too is life a canvas where we paint our existence with every action and thought. The calligraphy serves as a visual metaphor for how our lives, though transient, contribute to the larger, enduring narrative of the world around us. This artwork invites viewers to reflect on their own lives and the legacies they leave behind in the ever-evolving tapestry of the urban environment".
