“Justice for Beirut,” created a year after the blast, powerfully portrays the collective struggle of the blast’s victims and the Lebanese community and their suffering and relentless quest for justice.
The blast’s devastation is visually represented by a pink mushroom cloud evoking the haunting memories of that tragic day. The painting’s narrative is enriched by the depiction of Beirut as a woman with a warrior-like posture who has broken her chains and is holding the scales of justice.
The painting not only addresses the external turmoil of a nation but also delves into the internal struggles within each individual. By choosing a woman to represent Beirut, Olga underscores the crucial role of Lebanese women in the country's recent crises.

About Olga Safa
Olga Safa was born in Bulgaria and spent her childhood living in different countries. She graduated from the American University of Beirut with a Bachelor's in Computer and Communications engineering and a Master's in Business Administration. She started painting as soon as she could hold a pen in her hand and she has been painting ever since. Painting has always been her hobby and her passion.
Olga has been fascinated with different topics throughout her life. Dancing, in general, and Argentine Tango, in particular, has been one of her recurring topics as she has been expressing human emotions through the hidden and mysterious language of the body.
Olga is currently exploring more spiritual topics. Her journey of self-discovery and healing has been her muse. From self-reflection to self-love, Olga has expressed different phases of her journey on her canvas hoping to inspire others to let go of their wounds and embrace their authentic selves.
Olga’s paintings are a prelude to her inner world: vibrant, lively, adventurous, and full of possibilities. Her paintings are far from silent. They laugh, cry, shout, and invite the viewer to experience a spectrum of human emotions through an exquisite palette of bright, joyful colors.
