When I created this painting, I was down. Being a woman and a Lebanese citizen, I face many challenges every day. Even in my most difficult times, I always put my feelings on my canvases with happy colors, because my spirit and my mind travel into another world, a world that I dream of - the ocean is my home and the sky is my limit. That is why my artistic name is Ardziv, which means eagle in Armenian.
About Lucy Pochoglian/Ardziv
Influenced by modern art, the paintings of Lucy Poshoghlian a.k.a. ARDZIV (Eagle in Armenian) enjoy a unique style of expression, special techniques, and a mix of colors.
Seeing that Lucy is a European name, she chose her artistic name ARDZIV because she strongly wanted to be known to the world as an Armenian artist.
ARDZIV has participated in numerous collective exhibitions and solos, in France, the United States, and Lebanon.
Her works were highly acclaimed by world art critics. She was the recipient of many prizes, including the prize of « Best Design & Best Colour » for her oil painting « PUZZLE » at Gallery Mona Lisa in France year 2008.
ARDZIV signs her paintings in both English and Armenian languages, aiming to enter the Armenian letters to every home and worldwide.
Currently, her paintings are displayed at Gallery Matignion Sin-el-Fil and Quadra Framing Glendale, USA.
