Houses is an abstract exploration of shelter, belonging, and memory. The painting suggests the outlines of dwellings, yet refuses to confine them within strict lines or recognizable forms. Angular shapes, overlapping planes, and shifting colors create a sense of both structure and dissolution—as if the houses are simultaneously being built and eroded. Instead of depicting a single, literal home, the work evokes the feeling of many: childhood homes, imagined places of safety, and even houses that exist only in dreams. The colors—layered and textured—interplay like the moods of a neighborhood: some warm and welcoming, others shadowed and distant. In this way, Houses becomes less about architecture and more about the human experience of space, belonging, and the fragile boundaries between inside and outside, stability and change.
