Leslie Akl wears many hats - she's a vocologist, vocal coach, and speech-language pathologist with a rich career in hospitals, research, and international conferences. She has also collaborated with major TV singing programs, serving as a jury member and head coach.
Beyond the medical and TV scenes, Leslie has been cultivating since childhood another outlet for her skills – painting. Her art echoes the same passion and precision you'd find in her work with voices. Her paintings reveal a fresh yet expressive mix of color and form, like a visual version of the cadence she brings to her vocal practice. The canvases are alive with a vibrancy that matches the energy of spoken words and melodies and her art is a shoutout to communication, inviting us to see the links between what we hear and what we see.
