"Minas Mouchian started to draw at a young age. With the help of his school teachers, he started water coloring and at the age of fourteen, he produced his first oil paintings by copying Van Gogh, Henry Matisse, and Pablo Picasso to understand the impressionist movement.

Later on, in his early twenties, he started to learn human anatomy and portrait painting by studying great masters such as DaVinci and Michael Angelo. In the early nineties, he took painting lessons with great artists from Armenia for three years such as a very well-known sculptor “Megerdich Mazmanian” and oil painting techniques with “Lavrenti Agassian”. Followed by another private oil painting study for three years.

After all this time spent in the art world and all the lessons learned and stored in Minas’s wide imagination, his life took a turn and he was forced to stop painting for a long period in the pursuit of his busy shoe-making career and opening his factory and business. After a long wait, Minas got back to painting in his free time when the coronavirus struck our lives. Minas turned the world off and got back to painting and visiting his mind once again".
