This artwork explores the concept of a haven found behind window glass. Being beside a window and looking out provides a sense of safety and control; states that are often fickle. Most importantly, the frame of the window introduces the world gently in all its beauty and ambiguity.

About Katia Aoun Hage
Katia Aoun Hage is a multi-disciplinary artist. Born in Cameroun, raised in Lebanon, and currently living in the USA with her family. She has served as a music educator for 15 years, founded an indie press, Elyssar Press, and is currently the founder and music agent at Elissa Music Agency. An avid reader and thinker about life, spirituality, environmental and social issues, Katia has found ways to express them through her paintings, music, and poetry, as well as her involvement in the arts and education systems. Her book of poetry is “After the War, the Women Spoke.”
