The artworks "My Kingdom is not of this World" and "All is a Dream" are rooted in the surrealist genre, expressing the artist's interpretation of Embodied Realities. They explore the illusion of the body as a separate entity, defined by perceived boundaries, senses, and individual identity. These embodied realities are depicted as a dream—one in which individuals are both the dreamer and the captive, having forgotten that true borders and separateness do not exist.
Within this enchanting yet illusory dream, suffering arises from losing sight of a profound truth: the Kingdom of Heaven is neither external nor apart from others. The stars, the cosmos, nature, and animals are not distinct from humanity—they are humanity. There is only oneness. The belief in the body as a separate form is an illusion; rather, the body is an experience—one that serves as a guide back to true nature, which is No-Self.
Unity and fusion define embodied reality, and this essence is what the artist seeks to express through these two artworks.
Mixed Media (Ink, Acrylic, Pastel and Collage) on Paper.
Production year: 2025.
