Spring 2026 Garden Artist Residency Showcase - An Open Invitation at Kulturnest
In a country where uncertainty has become part of the daily landscape, choosing to create is an act of quiet resistance. Since February, four artists have been doing just that, gathering, working, and sharing their process in the garden of Kulturnest, turning a simple outdoor space into a living, breathing studio.
This spring, you are invited to step into that space.
A residency rooted in presence and exchange
The Kulturnest Garden Artist Residency was conceived as more than a program; it is a shared environment where artists move out of isolation and into a space of encounter, dialogue, and visibility.
Over three months, from February to May, the selected artists out of 46 who have previously applied for the program have been creating on-site, engaging directly with visitors, and allowing their work to evolve in public view.

An evening to gather, witness, and celebrate
On Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Kulturnest opens its space to the public for a collective celebration of this residency in the garden.
Visitors will be able to:
- Discover a curated display of artworks and designs created during the residency, ranging from paintings and drawings to objects and functional pieces.
- Witness the completion of a collective mural, where the four artists bring their different styles together on the garden walls. The process will unfold live, offering a rare look into collaboration in motion.
- Engage with immersive, hands-on activities designed for visitors to interact, experiment, and become part of the creative atmosphere.
- Meet the artists, ask questions, and experience the work not as finished objects, but as evolving practices.
A space for everyone
Kulturnest has always been built around one simple idea: bringing people together through art - creatives, enthusiasts, and communities alike - through art exhibitions, art markets, workshops, collaborative initiatives, and shared experiences. This event continues that spirit.
It is free of charge, open to all ages, and designed to welcome anyone curious about art, creation, and the role culture plays in holding communities together.

In Lebanon today, creating is not neutral. It is shaped by interruptions, by constraints, by the constant negotiation between survival and expression. And yet, within this context, these artists chose to gather, to work in the open, and to share their process.
