Open Call: Garden Artist Residency at Kulturnest
In response to the ongoing challenges facing our creative community in Lebanon, Kulturnest is opening its doors for a 3-month Artist Residency, twice per year. We are offering selected artists/designers a dedicated space to create, connect, and grow within our garden.
This residency is designed for those who seek to step out of isolation and into a professional, collaborative, homey environment that bridges the gap between the "studio" and the "market."
What We Offer
- A Dedicated Workspace: Two 70x70 cm tables and a dedicated corner for an easel (if needed) in our covered, all-weather garden.
- Professional Exposure: Use our space to host your clients, collectors, and collaborators in a homey setting.
- Connectivity: High-speed WiFi and access to our creative network.
- Material Storage: On-site storage for your tools and supplies on our second floor.
- Permanent Artist Profile on our website.
- Visibility & Communication: Ongoing visibility through Kulturnest’s communication channels, including social media coverage highlighting the Artist’s work and creative process throughout the residency, with appropriate credit.
- 15% discount on beverages and on space leasing beyond the dedicated corner for workshops and events during our working days/hours.
Post-Residency
By the end of the three months, samples of the artworks or designs produced will be curated for our physical concept store and/or our eShop/eGallery.
Commitment & Rules of Conduct
To maintain the energy of the residency, we ask for the following:
Attendance: A commitment to work from the space at least once per week during our opening hours (Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 AM to 6 PM). It could be for a few hours or the full day.
F&B Policy: To help sustain the space and its daily operations, all beverages must be ordered from Kulturnest’s menu. Outside beverages are not permitted. Artists are welcome to bring their own food.
Transparency & Sales:
During the Residency + Post-Residency: If a client visits the garden and purchases a piece you are currently working on, Kulturnest takes 35% commission on sales + VAT to be paid by the client for artworks exceeding A3 size, and 20% commission on sales + VAT to be paid by the client for small-sized artworks and designed objects/items.
How to Apply & Participation Fee
We are seeking artists, designers, and makers who are eager to connect with our community. Spots are limited.

Once selected, artists will be asked to confirm their participation by signing a residency agreement and settling a participation fee of USD 100.
Payment can be made either:
- In cash: at Kulturnest, during visiting hours
- Via Whish Wallet to +9613008245
Artists who choose to pay via Whish Wallet are responsible for covering any additional transfer fees, withdrawal fees, or service charges applied by Whish. The full participation fee must be received by Kulturnest after all fees are deducted. Please check directly with Whish for the applicable daily exchange rate, transfer fees, and withdrawal charges before sending the payment.
