Treasure Garden: An Artsy Garage Sale at Kulturnest

This June, Kulturnest is turning its lush garden into a vibrant playground for lovers of second-hand gems, design, and all things creative. Think vintage charm meets artistic flair: welcome to our Summer Declutter Pop-Up, a one-day artsy garage sale with a twist on Friday, June 6, 2025.

What’s our Garage Sale or Vide-Grenier All About?

A vide-grenier (literally, “empty attic” in French) is the charming cousin of the garage sale; a place where forgotten treasures find new homes, where nostalgia meets sustainability. At Kulturnest, we are elevating the tradition with a curated community vibe, a touch of artistry, and a shared love of conscious living.

This isn’t your average flea market. It’s a gathering of local creatives, collectors, and stylish declutterers who’ve been carefully selected to showcase beautifully kept second-hand items, from fashion to design to art. Expect a garden full of stories, personality, and playful discovery.

What You’ll Find

From unique clothing pieces and funky accessories to small artworks, prints, books, and design objects, this pop-up is the place to score special finds; all pre-loved, all full of character.

Here’s a peek at what’s in store:

* Second-Hand Fashion: Discover vintage pieces, designer items, handmade or upcycled fashion, and accessories that tell a story.

* Books & Stationery: From art books and niche novels to creative notebooks and beautifully designed paper goods.

* Art & Photography: Small works by local artists, prints, ...; perfect for adding soul to your space.

* Design & Decor: No bulky furniture here — think lamps, ceramics, vases, and home accents that spark joy.

In addition, we will feature a live coffee-making and tasting session with Rania Talal from 6 to 7 PM. Rania is the founder of Dragoast & Steampunk and a renowned coffee expert. In her demonstration, she will delve into the differences between commercial and specialty coffee, highlighting how thoughtful sourcing and brewing can transform your coffee experience. Just as our pop-up encourages a shift from mass-produced goods to unique, pre-loved items, Rania's session invites you to explore coffee beyond the conventional, appreciating the nuances that specialty beans offer.

At Kulturnest, we are embracing the art of mindful living - not just through curated second-hand treasures, but also in the way we savor our daily rituals.
