Celebrating a Year of Art, Resilience, and Community

Celebrating a Year of Art, Resilience, and Community

As Kulturnest approaches its first anniversary, my sister Michèle and I [Pamela] can’t help but reflect on the journey we’ve been on. Founded against the odds, this cultural space/creative hub was born out of a deep conviction: that art and culture in Lebanon, despite the ongoing war and crises, not only deserve to be protected but celebrated.

From the beginning, our goal has been clear: to provide local artists with a physical and virtual space where they can express themselves, connect with one another and with art enthusiasts, and resist the many forms of adversity through their creations. In a country where artists are often seen as social alchemists, their role extends far beyond mere creatives; they become guardians of collective memory and carriers of a vision for the future.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who believed in Kulturnest from the start and continues to support us. Your trust, encouragement, and dedication have brought this project to life and helped it grow. Thank you for sharing with us this vision of a future where art and culture remain vital forces in Lebanon. Without you, none of this would be possible.

Here’s to a future where art, peace, and justice thrive together. Cheers!
