Call for Participation - Kulturnest Christmas Market “Art under 100$” (3rd Edition)

Kulturnest invites creatives to apply for our 3rd Christmas Market, "Art under 100$". Building on the warmth of previous editions, this year’s market will again foreground accessible, quality creations, community spirit, and festive discovery.

Dates: Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14, 2025, 2:00 AM–9:00 PM
Place: Kulturnest (Sin-El-Fil, Saloumeh Roundabout).

What we are looking for:

HANDMADE, UNIQUE, OR LIMITED EDITION PIECES SOLELY ACCEPTED


Small art & paper - mini prints, postcards, zines, small calendars, cards, bookmarks...

Wearables (handmade): jewelry, bags, belts, scarves, hats, hair accessories, socks, beanies, clothes (tops, skirts, shirts, jackets...), enamel pins, patches, hand-printed totes/tees...

Home & décor: candles, incense holders, coasters, mini planters/vases, magnets, photo stands...

Kids & family: coloring zines, activity kits, small puzzles, paper puppets, holiday ornaments...

Upcycled art/slow fashion: reclaimed-material-based (wood, iron, copper, fabric, glass,...)

Body & Ritual (artisan-made): soaps, bath salts, essential-oil rollers with original label art...

Words & sound: chapbooks/poetry booklets...

On-the-spot customs: quick portraits, hand-lettered names, stamp-your-own tote/postcard...

Digital-meets-physical: QR cards for downloadable prints/wallpapers, AR postcards...

Experiences (≤$100): Workshop gift cards, studio visit vouchers...

Noting that all items to be sold should be priced under 100$ as per the theme of the market. It is also recommended to offer bundles, discounts, and maintain affordable prices overall.

How to apply (by November 15, 2025):

Send a message to +961 3 008 245 (WhatsApp) with the following information:

*Your name/brand + short biography (except for Kulturnest’s artists)
*Links to social media account(s)/website (except for Kulturnest’s artists)
*Up to 5 images of representative works 
*Your brand logo (if available)
*Indicate if you prefer indoors or outdoors.

Once all applications from creatives are received, Kulturnest will conduct a selection process.

Selection criteria: originality, finish/quality, coherence of presentation, and suitability for a family-friendly, community-centered market.

Participation Fees - once selected:

Following the selection process, Kulturnest contacts the selected creatives ONLY and informs them about the assigned spots. Creatives will be able to visit the space and confirm their participation upon payment of participation fees - cash at Kulturnest, Wednesdays to Saturdays, 2 to 7 PM, or by Whish wallet/transfer to Pamela Chrabieh at +9613008245 (including transfer fees and withdrawal fees of 1%).

N.B. If, as a creative, you do not receive a message by WhatsApp from Kulturnest by November 20, this means that you were not selected for this art market. However, you are more than welcome to visit us for future collaborations. There are many ways Kulturnest collaborates with artists - mainly through hybrid collective art exhibitions, solo exhibitions, pop-up exhibits, art markets, artsy garage sale, eShop/eGallery, workshops, and our physical concept store.

All spaces may be leased by a single participant or shared by several.

Indoors:
Main Room (15 sqm) — $300 (recommended to be shared by several creatives).
Nido Creativo (13.5 sqm, including a fixed rectangular table of 90 x 220cm in the middle of the room) — $250.
Alice Nest (2 tables of 70 x 70 cm each) — $150.

Outdoors (Winter Garden):
Spaces that include two square tables of 70 x 70 cm each: $125 per space.

Sales, Promotion & Responsibility Policy:

No commission: Kulturnest does not take any commission on sales.

Participant responsibility: Each participant is fully responsible for their own space (indoor or outdoor), merchandise, pricing, and cash/POS handling, and must supervise their area at all times.

Liability: Kulturnest is not liable for any loss, theft, damage, or breakage of goods, equipment, or personal belongings.

Attendance & sales: Kulturnest does not guarantee attendance or sales. We will promote the event to the best of our ability within our limited budget; participants are expected to mobilize their own networks. The market’s success is a collective effort.
