Awakening the Body: Embodied Realities at Kulturnest

The Indelible Literary and Arts Journal – Issue 09 (October 2025) by the London-Arts Based Research Centre (LABRC) is out with Kulturnest's co-founder and CEO Dr. Pamela Chrabieh hybrid artwork on the cover, and her essay about the 'Embodied Realities' Hybrid Collective Exhibition inside.

The essay is a walk through our spring 2025 exhibition. It says that the “awakening” here isn’t loud; it rises quietly from skin and memory. The body becomes an archive of experience, then slips into dream and myth, returns as resistance and celebration, is rewritten stitch by stitch, and finally hovers at the edge of perception, where what we see meets what we feel. In a Lebanon under pressure, the exhibition reclaimed the body as a place of agency, ritual, protest, tenderness, and grace.

To the artists who made this constellation breathe - Olga Safa, Datevig Berberian, Joseph Ghobeira, George Khoury, Leslie Akl, Amira Daaboul, Nora Lebbos, Grégory Taousson, Hazar Daou, Maria Azar, Rabih Yehya, Precila N. Hawa, Jeanne d’Arc Bou Younes, Marie Bassil, Rosalie Karaduelian, Théreza E. Zgheib, Rima Ghanem, Tala Beydoun, Ovsanna Yepremian Telfeyan, Sarah Kouzi, Nayla Kilzi, Elio Sadeck - thank you. Your works turned a fractured present into a living chorus.

Here’s to bodies that remember, resist, and begin again.
