That moment of creation, when you can’t foresee what you are bringing to life, is
terrifying yet exhilarating! Maria constantly pushes through that moment to create figurative, abstract, and intuitive art. She is inspired by Nature, the unconscious mind, and psychoanalysis, which is her main practice. She captures intuitively the human form and its features, which she discerns within real-life trees, and lets the elusive-to-the-mind unfold freely in pure abstraction. She draws with inks and acrylics on paper, canvas, and wood.
